NEW OFFER BY CONTRACT UK - THE CSCS SCHEME
LEEDS, WEST YORKSHIRE
The latest health and safety surveys show that there are still a high level of accidents on site. In an attempt to combat these dangers, the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has been introduced. The aim of the CSCS scheme is to provide evidence that operatives; tradespeople and supervisory staff have met the relevant standards and can demonstrate the relevant skill level incorporating health and safety training. Contract UK are now offering an exclusive opportunity for their workers to obtain the CSCS card whilst working for the company. This is an invaluable benefit for agency workers who have previously been unable to meet the criteria of the scheme as it is assessed on site.
More importantly, there will be no fee to the contractor for the provision of the scheme.
As a result of this offer, Contract UK will be able to meet the requirements of the Major Contractors Group (MCG) initiatives regarding CSCS qualification.
The scheme is being run jointly with a major assessment centre.
Janine Bowers of Contract UK says "any company in the MCG supply chain must be serious about getting up to speed with the CSCS card. We are driving for safer conditions for everyone. This is a major step in the right direction. We will be working closely with major contractors to provide accreditation and training to all our staff."
Simon Bowden of Contract UK comments "our commitment to health and safety has always been paramount. Accidents in the construction industry are usually very serious. We are doing our part to helping prevent them by providing a safe learning and working environment".
